Maybe you have kept a bag of baby clothes in the loft that your child has grown out of. You will remember who bought them, when your little one wore them and how fast they grew out of them! A baby clothes memory bear is a lovely way of repurposing the cute little outfits into something beautiful that can be hugged and sniffed! (Surely I cant be the only one to miss that baby smell?)

SUITABLE BABY CLOTHES
I can use first size baby clothes, but it as a good ideal to send some bigger items too, a blanket or sheet may come in handy for the bigger pieces, if the clothes are very small. 6-8 items per bear is ideal.

IDEAL CLOTHING
Sports shirts are another item of clothing that works really well. These can never be thrown away (Not in my house anyway!) so a sports shirt memory bear is a way of displaying the colours and badges instead of it taking room up in a draw.
One adult football shirt is enough, a complete kit can be used if it’s a smaller size.

Please note – Chiffon and organza are too fine to use on the main body of the bear , I can use the underneath fabric and lace and trims though. If you are posting the dress to me, please remove any netting from the underskirt before you send it, so I can store it easier, it can be cut from the dress near the waist. Please ensure that the dress is clean.

The newer smaller bear is 40cm standing and 29cm sitting. Beautifully made and button jointed so sits unaided. 1-3 items of clothing is ideal. Compact design without paw pads.
Embroidered hearts can be personalised then hand sewn onto the paws.
IDEAL CLOTHING
One to three items of adult clothing per bear is ideal, including something like a plain pale T-shirt for the face so the eyes and mouth stand out. Shirts, jumpers, cardigans, t shirts, skirts and trousers, jeans are all ideal. Full outfits are good but don’t worry if the clothes don’t coordinate - it’s the memories that count and they will still look fabulous.
Please avoid sheer fabrics like chiffon or organza, very chunky loose knits, very thick or stiff fabric. Leather or suede are also unsuitable.

Most types of fabric can be used apart from sheer fabrics, leather suede etc.

Step 2 add accessories
We can make a tutu or gathered skirt to fit your bear. Please discuss suitabilty of your clothing first
We can usually alter your flat cap to fit. Alternatively we can make one from other clothing.
We can make a mini waistcoat to fit your bear. Made from either a your own waisttcoat or other clothing you send.
If you would like your bear to wear a tie or scarf, then please supply us with it and we can make it fit your bear. Bow ties also available.
Please note: All of our bears come with a matching ribbon bow as standard

Large bears can either have a name on one paw and date on the other, or you can have two dates on one paw, if you would like your loved ones lifetime remembered.
